Go Sober!

Right, all this toxic medicine has clearly affected me more than I ever thought possible and as a result I appear to have gone off the old vino! So I have decided to make something good come out of this disastrous occurrence and go on the wagon for October to raise some money for Macmillan Cancer.

Go Sober for October!

I would really appreciate it if you would kindly donate the price of a bottle of wine or the cost of a drink or two to this fantastic cause!

It was kind of weird because my Mam was off work just staying at home and I didn’t know why.  A couple of weeks later we found out what was wrong.  Mam talked to us and told us that she was going to have chemotherapy because there was something nasty in her boob.

Mam had to go to the hospital called Rake Lane where I was born.  She had to have something put into her hand and that put the medicine into her.  Mam has not been poorly she just can’t taste her food.

A couple of weeks later Mam had to have her hair trimmed as short as mine when I get it cut.  I was a bit upset and cried a little bit at school sometimes.  When she had a shower once lots of her short hair came off and blocked the plughole.  Then she went to wear her wig and she looked normal again.  She got a Hit Girl wig from Kick Ass and she got a wig called Cody.

When I wore my Mams wig it was really hard to put it on and style it because it was all in your eyes (I really don’t want to be a girl).  I think I have coped with things pretty well because I am used to Mam being bald now.

It was quite upsetting when she told us as we wanted to go to America and we weren’t sure we would be able to go but in the end we can go because Mam is getting better.  I am happy that my Mam is getting better.
